Join Biola students, alumni, faculty, staff and supporters for a memorable concert at The Theater at Ace Hotel, one of downtown L.A.’s most historic and beautiful theaters. Built in the 1920s by Charlie Chaplin and Mary Pickford, the theater first opened as a United Artists movie palace in 1927. After an extensive refurbishment to its glory days of Spanish Gothic ornateness, the theater was reopened as part of the Ace Hotel in 2014. It is today one of the premiere concert venues in all of Los Angeles. In addition to being the present location of Biola’s original “Jesus Saves” sign, the building also includes the words of Psalm 119:89: “Forever, O Lord, Thy Word is settled in heaven” above the theater entrance. These were the same words that were engraved above the entrance to the original Biola building at Sixth and Hope in L.A.
