Nativities from Around the World

Alumna Dr. Patricia Chapman has donated her collection of over 60 nativities to Biola University, many of which are currently on display in the Middle Level Reading Room of the Library. These are available to view from Wednesday, November 5 through the end of the Fall semester. This Nativity exhibit is a result of decades of travel and collecting on the part of Dr. Chapman, and includes sets from Peru, Nigeria, Kenya, Hawaii, Sweden, Germany, Bethlehem, and many other nations. Each set is unique in its construction, materials, and origin, but each tells the same familiar, joyful story of the birth of our Savior. This exhibit is a celebration of Advent and craftsmanship around the world!
