GREAT PRODUCERS, 18th Annual Biola Media Conference

A must-attend conference for Christians seeking to make a difference in the entertainment industry. The Biola Media Conference vision aspires to be the must-attend conference for any Christian seeking to make a difference in the entertainment industry through the creation of work that is meaningful, excellent, and trailblazing. The Biola Media Conference (BMC) attracts more than 700+ industry professionals, making it the largest national event for people of faith working in the entertainment industry. Attendees leave the conference with a clearer vision of the future of the media/entertainment industry, and how to succeed within it. The Biola Media Conference vision aspires to be the must-attend conference for any Christian seeking to make a difference in the entertainment industry through the creation of work that is meaningful, excellent, and trailblazing. The conference will be a haven for those who seek not to make low-quality, didactic “Christian” media, nor to divorce their faith entirely from their craft, but to pave a new way forward for quality media-making from a Christian perspective.

Christians are everywhere in Hollywood. It may not have always been this way, but today it’s not hard to find a Christ-follower working in every corner and capacity of the entertainment industry: as agents, actors, directors, producers, P.A.s, even studio executives. The Biola Media Conference, sponsored by Biola University’s Cinema and Media Arts department, is an event for Christians in Hollywood to gather and spur one another to become not just better at their craft, but the best. By hearing from top-notch speakers and workshop leaders about success and excellence in the industry, attendees are inspired to aim higher--to become the innovators and trailblazers of culture, rather than the copycats. Are you an ambitious, creative Christian who wants to make a difference in media and culture for the cause of Christ? The BMC is for you.

As part of our Cinema Master’s Series, which last year spotlighted “Great Directors,” this year’s theme will be “Great Producers.” Together we will learn, from some of the industry’s most successful producers of television and film, how to take a project from idea to execution and how to tell stories that stick.

This Year's Speakers:

Seanne Winslow, producer of the new international franchise, The Lego Movie, http://www.thelegomovie.com/ starring Will Ferrell, Chris Pratt and Morgan Freeman

Zach King, producer of finalcutking.com, named by Huffington Post as the top Vine producer in the world.

Dan Lin of Lin Pictures, producer of the Sherlock Holmes film franchise starring Robert Downey Jr.
