The Annual Biola Film Festival was created to showcase and award emerging filmmakers from the Biola Cinema and Media Arts department. Each year's nominees display the quality and creativity of our current Biola film students. Having been nominated through a prior entry process, and judged by entertainment professionals from within our Biola Studio Task Force, the Biola Film Festival upholds the traditions of a first class awards ceremony. Biola CMA student class projects and student independent film submissions are creatively presented for award consideration, with the most outstanding in Genre and Craft recognized and awarded. Prior to acceptance, the audience gets their chance to view each award winning film. A gala event, the Biola Film Festival is held at the closing of the school year to a packed audience. Industry professionals, students, and proud family fill the venue in one of the most celebrated student events of the year.
