Biola Youth Theater presents the high-spirited Tony Award-winning musical comedy Thoroughly Modern Millie which tells the story of a small-town Kansas girl, Millie Dillmount, who comes to New York City in the roaring twenties to marry for money instead of love – a thoroughly modern aim in 1922, when women were just entering the workforce. Filled with frisky flappers, dashing leading men and a dragon-lady of a villainess audiences will love to hate, Thoroughly Modern Millie is a perfectly constructed evening of madcap merriment.
