Razor's Edge: At the Intersection of Art and Faith

What is the role of Story in a world overwhelmed with stories? Amidst the constantly buzzing barrage of micro-narratives, digital diaries, and fragmentary confessions, how do the Big Stories hold together? Do transcendent stories matter in the iWorld? This interdisciplinary conference explores the relationship between individual stories and metanarratives in contemporary culture. These questions created lively discussions as we gathered to celebrate story and ponder its complex role in today's society.

STORYTELLERS
Curated by Jeff Rau

This exhibition entitled Storytellers features work by contemporary artists who share an affinity for visual storytelling. Often relating to universal themes and drawing upon historical narratives, these new tales are also highly specific and contemporary, as they are infused with details from the life and experience of each narrator. Artists included in the exhibition are: Nathan Huff, Siri Kaur, Adonna Khare, Laura Lasworth, Duncan Simcoe, and Patty Wickman.
