The Almanac Trio
with Mira Khomik, violin; Charles Tyler, cello; & Kevin Garnica, piano
We welcome the Almanac Trio to our Concert Series. All soloists in their own right, the Almanac Trio is comprised of violinist Mira Khomik, cellist Charles Tyler, and pianist Kevin Garnica.
Mira Khomik is a prize winner of many international competitions, as well as an active chamber musician with groups such as the Divan Consort. She is on the faculty at Fullerton College and also serves as a chamber music teaching associate at UCLA, where she is currently a doctor of musical arts candidate.
Charles Tyler is a rising cellist who has performed in concert venues around the world, as well as being a prize winner in many international competitions. He is currently pursuing his doctor of music degree at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, studying with Antonio Lysy.
Dr. Kevin Garnica, is a busy freelance collaborative keyboardist, having received his doctorate in collaborative piano at the University of Texas, Austin. He is also the pianist for the wind trio, Triple Entendre, and currently adjunct faculty and staff pianist at Biola University.
