Pepe Montengro
Founder Of GOEST (Gang Outreach Educational Strategies And Training)
Pepe Montenegro came from a life of adolescent drug use and gang activity, eventually dropped out of high school. When a terrible turn of events took place he entered drug rehabilitation and after 9 months graduated from the program. While there he heard the message of hope in Jesus Christ. Upon accepting Christ, he left the gang and drug lifestyle and dropped back into high school. He went on to earn his Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University. Currently Montengro is an at-risk youth counselor, for the Newport-Mesa Unified School District as well as a volunteer for both Orange County Juvenile Hall and the California Youth Authority in Chino.
Pepe founded GOEST to assist families, schools, and communities in developing programs & strategies to prevent youth from joining gangs. GOEST’s goal is to intervene in the lives of youth who are members of gangs by partnering with families, educators, and community members.
