A Christmas festival of sacred music, scripture and pageantry for the entire family, featuring over 200 student musicians & actors.

For many the celebration of Christmas is not complete without experiencing the beautiful music of the season and reliving the miraculous nativity story. In December 2013, Biola University ushers in a new tradition with a Christmas festival of sacred music, scripture, and pageantry that will inspire the entire family as we come together to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. A bit reminiscent of a former Biola tradition “Celebrate the Son,” the concert will feature over 200 musicians and vocalists from the Biola Conservatory of Music including: King's Men, Biola Women's Chorus, Biola Chorale, Symphonic Winds, Biola Symphony Orchestra, as well as performers from the Biola Dramatic Arts Program and a living nativity. Baritone Richard Zeller will be featured as a soloist and narrator of the event. The Southern California Children’s Chorus has also been invited to perform as special guest artists for the festival. Don’t miss this spiritually enriching event.

Featuring Baritone Richard Zeller as Soloist and Narrator
One of America's foremost baritones, Richard Zeller is internationally acclaimed for both his concert and opera roles. He is known for his sonorous dramatic voice, a compelling stage presence and outstanding musicianship. Hailing from Portland, Or, Richard Zeller is the new professor of Voice for the Biola Conservatory of Music. He has been performing and teaching 25 years.

With Special Guests the Southern California Children’s Chorus
The Southern California Children’s Chorus was founded in 1996 as an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to “enriching children’s lives through distinguished choral music education and world-class performance.” Guided by a talented and diverse board of directors and a highly-skilled musical and administrative staff, choral members perform locally throughout the year at special events and venues like the Orange County Center for the Performing Arts.
