Directed by Kate Brandon

A young woman comes to Wisconsin hoping to leave her past behind. Inspired by a page from an old travel book, she travels to the small town of Gilead looking for a fresh start. The local sheriff finds her a job at The Spitfire Grill, the only eatery in this dying town. The town is initially more than a bit suspicious of the young woman—she is both an outsider and has spent time in prison. The Grill is for sale, but with no interested buyers, the owner decides to raffle it off. Entry fees are $100, and the best essay on why you want the grill wins. Soon mail is arriving by the wheelbarrow and things heat up at The Spitfire Grill. This musical triumph is an inspiring celebration of fresh starts and the impact one person can have in the lives of others who have lost hope.

Due to heavy thematic content, this show is not recommended for children twelve years old and younger.
