Alumni Arnold Geis, tenor, and Matthew Kellaway, baritone, return to present the song cycle "Here and Gone," by Jake Heggie. The song cycle is for tenor, baritone, string trio and piano, with poetry by A.E. Housman and Vachel Lindsay.

Arnold Livingston Geis, tenor, is an international musician and performer originally from Washington State. Geis began his career in Southern California as a church soloist, but quickly grew to become one of the top collaborative artists in the area, known for his versatility and musicianship. 2013 marked Geis’ first season as a chorister in Los Angeles Opera’s performances of Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman. He has since performed on the Dorothy Chandler stage in favorites such as Carmen, La Traviata, and had his LA Opera soloist debut in Pagliacci under the baton of Plácido Domingo. Geis also sings with the Los Angeles Master Chorale. He is honored to have worked under the esteemed conductors Gustavo Dudamel, Michael Tilson Thomas, James Conlon, and Grant Gershon. An active session singer, Geis’ voice can be heard in many recent movie blockbusters. He holds a B.M. in vocal performance from Biola University and graduated with his M.M. in vocal arts from The University of Southern California.

Matthew Kellaway is a graduate of Biola University’s Conservatory of Music and an established vocal performer currently singing with the Los Angeles Master Chorale, the Pacific Chorale, the Paul Delgado Singers, and the John Alexander Singers.  Mr. Kellaway has performed in and/or assisted production on numerous operas and musical theater productions at the college and professional levels.  Also a versatile studio vocalist and private voice instructor, Mr. Kellaway is honored to be the Biola’s Men’s Chorus director.
