SING OVER ME
A Film by Jacob Kindberg
Discussion with the director after the film.

The message of hope, love, compassion, faithfulness, and perseverance that Dennis Jernigan personifies through his story of overcoming same-sex attraction and living out God’s true plan for him is inspirational.” –Christopher Doyle

Directed by CMA alumnus Jacob Kindberg, this is his first feature documentary. The film is an intimate portrait of Dennis Jernigan, the man behind some of the most popular Christian songs in recent years such as “You Are My All in All” and “Blessed Be The Name Of The Lord”. Dennis identified himself as gay at a young age. After years of depression and despair he re-dedicated his life to Christ in his mid-twenties. This is a film about the transformative power of the Gospel and God graciously using Dennis’ past to bring hope.

Biola Screenings is a collaborative initiative between the Center for Christianity, Culture & the Arts (CCCA) and the Cinema and Media Arts Department (CMA). The mission is to bring current independent cinema to Biola University for thoughtful reflection and discussion.
