Alumni Reader's Night

Justin Campbell, an alumnus of Biola's English program was awarded the 2013 Hurston/Wright Award for College Writers. To celebrate his achievement, Biola has invited Justin and a handful of other Biola alumni to read their fiction.

The Hurston/Wright Award for College Writers was established by novelist Marita Golden to honor excellence in fiction writing by students of African descent. Winners are selected annually in April for the best-unpublished short story or novel excerpt. Justin was selected as the 2013 winner for his novel excerpt Sitting on the Knees of God.
