This symposium gathers prominent scholars and artists — including theologian David Bentley Hart, curator Anne Wilkes Tucker, film consultant Bobette Buster, and artist Lia Chavez — to discuss the most constructive models for thinking about the ways violence and peace function in contemporary art, and to consider the possibilities for rethinking an artistic practice / discourse oriented toward peace.
